David Scott, Rotarian since 2002 and once a president of a club in Asia, has been elected the 2025-26 president of the 60+ member Pearl club.

David (pictured second from right above during the club's opening song on Jan. 9) was among a slate of officers presented by President-Elect Janet Young. He previously held the Pearl P-E spot in 2010-11 before an Intel transfer took him out of Portland. He served a year as a president of the Rotary Club of Marina City in Singapore when he agreed to fill a presidential opening after an officer's health issue. He is a computer scientist by profession and has held a series of temporary positions since retirement from Intel.

Dave has long been active in the club's vocational service committee. He and his wife, Sheila, have been instrumental in food preparation for the club's Transition Projects' monthly meal.

Other officers unanimously elected were Matthew Lillard, executive director; Nick Fandel, treasurer; and Tiffany Salzman, Pearl Fund board.
