Joint meetings held with social justice, community service leaders to review mutual concerns

Twice during the week of Nov. 7, leaders of PPRC's Social Justice and Community Service committees met. The goal: share objectives and see where Rotarians from both might work together.

To paraphrase Diane Brandsma, SJC co-chair, it's evident that many of our efforts to expand justice and make a difference in the Portland community are similar. Among those attending the first discussion were Diane and co-chair Phil Rothrock, and community service co-leaders Bob Turner and Natalie Teschendorf.

Pictured above at the Nov. 7 meeting at the Rothrocks' home (thanks to Vickie, too!) are, from left): Natalie and Bob, Kiki Schrenck, Phil, Diane, Corey Omey, Michael Steen.

The evening was also celebratory in nature: Phil's 80th birthday was marked that very day.
