Rotarian of the month Corey Omey

Posted on: Tuesday, 16 January 2024

"I am an entrepreneur [of] small businesses. I really enjoy working with people. People are the center of what businesses are."

Corey Omey, Rotarian for five years, told fellow Rotarians that architecture is his main professional activity (Jan. 9 meeting). In addition to his EMA Architecture firm which has moved from the Eco-Trust to Southeast Portland, Corey has had business interests in hospitality (including a distillery) and pottery (studio and kiln).

He added in an email:

"EMA Architecture is rebranding to become Kaleido Studio. Our mission:

"EMA IS A CLIENT-DRIVEN AND PLANET-FOCUSED ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN FIRM. AS TRUSTED ADVISORS AND ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDS, WE BALANCE THE SYNERGIES OF PEOPLE, PROGRAM, AND PLACE TO CREATE SPACES THAT REFLECT VALUES, MAINTAIN RESILIENCE, AND IMPART LASTING POSITIVE IMPACTS.

"Our firm is now located at Place To B, a new mission-aligned, co-working space for social capital and environment-focused benefit companies and non-profits to work in a collaborative workspace."

Look for an open house soon in the new 3rd and S.E. Clay offices.
